The Bottom Line

I’ve been using Airbnb for over 10 years and have stayed in some pretty interesting places. It used to offer places to stay in homes and apartments, but there are now hosts that rent out their treehouse, log cabin, and even a “luxury storage room”.

I’m tempted to try my hand at hosting after watching a few YouTube vloggers share how they’re are making a killing on renting out their places. I used a reader’s Airbnb referral host link to earn an extra $48 when I do and they will earn $720 once I complete my first booking. It used to be $24 and $360/$600, respectively, but it was increased is mid-2024.

If you’re new to either hosting or staying on this platform, be sure to use someone’s Airbnb referral code, referral link, or coupon code in order to get a little extra for yourself. Your referee will also get a nice credit.

YESSSSSS! I’ve been a host for 6+ years renting out my daughters upstairs room/bath and haven’t paid my own mortgage since starting. I now manage 14 properties locally and earn this bonus on each one. I love hospitality and making people feel cared for. Rock on!

That’s so awesome! How did you go from one property to 14 in six years though? Amazing.
