Are you interested in trying out an Amazon smart plug, but donโ€™t want to pay the full price? Good news! You can get a smart plug for just $4.99 when you order through Alexa! See how below.

Ninja Update 11/29/20: Deal is back.

Amazon Smart Plug Alexa Offer

Direct Link [Amazon]

Ninja Note: Before you do this deal, check to see if youโ€™re able to get this better discount on the smart plug first.

Amazon wants more people to use their Alexa devices (Alexa, Echo Dot, Fire TV Stick, ect.) to order products. To encourage customers to do so, they frequently have cool promotions that provide nice discounts.

Amazonโ€™s latest promo is offering an Amazon smart plug for just $4.99. This is a limited-time offer and you must order using an Alexa device.

Head on over to your closest Alexa voice-enabled device and speak these magic words:

โ€œAlexa, add an Amazon smart plug to my cart.โ€

The Bottom Line

Thereโ€™s also a deal on a smart plug made by Kasa for a steep discount.

For those that have followed this site for a while, you know how handy these are. You can smartify (is that even a word, I donโ€™t know) your entire home for very cheap.

As a reminder on how versatile these are:

  • Amazon Smart Plug works with Alexa to add voice control to any outlet.
  • Schedule lights, fans, and appliances to turn on and off automatically, or control them remotely when youโ€™re away.
  • No smart home hub requiredโ€”set up routines and schedules through the Alexa app.

I tried it several times today but every time I asked Alexa to add the Amazon smart plug to my cart she kept saying the closest thing she could find to the Amazon smart plug is the Amazon echo show (which includes a smart plug). So I guess no deal for me.
