There’s no upper limit to the number of people that can be referred. However, bitFlyer may terminate your eligibility in the referral program if they discover any fraudulent activity (e.g. spoofing).

Referral Terms & Conditions
- Referred customers are required to complete account signup, verification, and complete a Buy or Sell trade of $100 or more within 90 days. Be advised verification and trade settlement can take several days.
- In order to be eligible for the referral bonus payout, all qualifying trades must be placed via bitFlyer’s Buy/Sell Marketplace options. Lightning exchange orders are not eligible to qualify under this referral program.
- bitFlyer will verify all referrals to prevent duplicate or fake accounts and will not pay referral bonuses to either party in the event such activity is discovered.
- If a referred user fails to complete the requirements to obtain a bonus within 90 days of opening his or her account, neither party will receive a bonus.

The Bottom Line
Thanks to a TMN reader for giving me a heads up on this crypto app. It took a couple of days to verify my identity, but I got my $15 Bitcoin bonus within hours of buying $100 worth of crypto.
bitFlyer doesn’t charge a fee to buy or sell crypto, but it does charge a spread between 0.1% to 6.0% depending on the volatility and liquidity of the overall crypto market. You can get around this by using their advanced trading platform named bitFlyer Lightning.
Note that for the sign-up bonus, you can’t purchase the required crypto with bitFlyer Lightning. However, after getting the free Bitcoin, you can use bitFlyer Lightning going forward in order to save on fees.

Note that BitFlyer USA currently does not appear to support ACH transfers. The only way to earn the $15 bonus is to fund the account with a wire transfer. If you have a Fidelity account, you may be able to send a free wire transfer. However, Bitflyer USA customer support responded with
“Please note, we are not able to accept wires from a brokerage account.
I’ve gone ahead and credited the funds today as a courtesy, however going forward we will require wires to be originating from a personal bank account (checking/savings) in your name.”
