The Bottom Line

Good bonus and the requirements are not too difficult. Most people would find spending $2,000 easier than depositing $5,000 in merchant services or processing payroll.

Bluevine is ranked as one of my top business checking accounts because they have no monthly fees, no minimum balance, and earns a respectable 1.50% APY on balances up to $250,000. It’s not common for a business checking account to earn interest.

This interest-earning account also features unlimited fee-free transactions, no monthly fees, no minimum opening deposit amount, and no minimum balance requirements.

I use this along with Novo and Chase Business Complete Checking for my business operations. Bluevine, along with Novo, work quite well to complete direct deposit requirements for many bank bonuses too with a simple ACH transfer (although this isn’t an official direct deposit method, I have found that it does trigger the bonuses more often than not, but YMMV).

You can upgrade your account to Bluevine Plus, which offers a 2.70% APY and the monthly service fee of $30 is waived if you have a balance of at least $20,000. Upgrade to the highest account plan called Bluevine Premier, and you’ll enjoy an incredible 3.70% APY. The monthly service fee of $95 for that plan is waived if you have at least $100,000 in the account.
