The Bottom Line

An additional bonus is that Chime’s current interest rate on deposit accounts is 1.00% APY, which blows away the interest rate offered for many savings and money market accounts.

If you prefer, there’s also a sign-up and referral bonus program directly from Chime.

So the direct deposit from UberEATS, for which I had to fill out “direct deposit” forms just like with any other job, will not work for the chime offer? 😰 It’s coming up as an “EPI payment” so I figured that since it said “payment” I might be okay, but not seeing it on the list, I don’t want to take the chance of not getting the bonus. I am only a SB user and new to the bank bonus thing, so I do not bank with any others on the list. What’s the easiest way for me to make sure I get the bonus?

Yes I do have cash app. So I just add cash to that, then push it into the chime account via cash app?

Hey Ninja – I did a push transfer from my chase checking account to my new chime account. It’s listed on my chime account as a ext transfer, will that count as a direct deposit?

Unfortunately push transfers are not direct deposits. Direct deposits come from your employer or unemployment benefits and there is a form you need to fill out. Contact your payroll or state benefits

Good deal, I set up through Swagbucks and did a push transfer from my chase checking account. Will that be considered a direct deposit? Can anyone confirm this works with Chime? Thanks in advance
