Coffee Class Action Settlement: Get A Check Up To $30

You can get paid up to $30 as part of the ground coffee class action settlement. No proof of purchase is necessary, but you need to submit a claim by November 18 in order to receive payment!

What Are The Details Of The Settlement?

A $20,000,000 settlement has been reached with a number of ground coffee companies (Massimo Zanetti Beverage, Mother Parkers Tea & Coffee, and Reily Foods Company) that makes the following coffee brands:

  • Great Value
  • Bonus Blend
  • Flavor Peak
  • Food Lion
  • Hannaford
  • Market Pantry
  • Signature Select

The defendants deny any wrongdoing, but has agreed to settle by changing their label to be more accurate and paying up to a maximum of $20,000,000 to individuals affected.

By agreeing to settle, both sides avoid the cost, disruption, and distraction of further litigation.

Am I Eligible To Make A Claim?

You’re eligible if you purchased at least one or more branded ground coffee products for personal use between January 1, 2016 and July 29, 2020.

Ground coffee from these brands sold in cans, vacuum bricks and jars are included in the class action settlement, but coffee sold in bags is not.

The Bottom Line

At a minimum, it should be an easy $5 for a lot of people. I don’t know anyone who would keep grocery receipts of ground coffee lay around, but in case someone out there does, they’ll get up to $30.

Remember, you’re submitting your claim under penalty of perjury. Submit a claim only if you know you’ve purchased one of the listed ground coffee products.

If you’re unsure if you qualify, please read the FAQ section of the Settlement Administrator’s website to ensure you meet all standards. If you don’t qualify for this settlement, check out our other class action settlements we’ve posted that you may be eligible for.
