The Bottom Line
Fairwinds is relatively new at offering bank account bonuses. I typically see sign-up bonuses for their personal and business credit cards – which are really generous and comparable to bonuses from bigger banks like American Express and Chase.
For example, the Fairwinds Visa Signature Credit Card is offering a welcome bonus of 60,000 points that are worth $900 in travel.
The Fairwinds Cash Back Visa Credit Card has a 0% balance transfer offer with no balance transfer fees. We’re not in the 2004-2008 era anymore – zero balance transfer fees are very rare now.
Note that Fairwinds Credit Union is not a churnable bank, meaning that each person is limited to one lifetime account sign-up bonus.

I signed up on April 5 for this bonus but your referral code must have expired. Fairwind allowed me to open using the expired code but would not pay the bonus.

No public link that I know of. If you have an active account its right on main screen when you log in. It says “Get rewarded for learning about money”. So far I have earned 3 $5 Target eGift cards in only 3 weeks time. They have some extra bonuses at the beginning. But I started doing Daily Trivia and that earns 300 points a day. 5K points earns a potential eGift Card.
Yes this is a super easy bonus. Plus they have an emergency savings that pays 3% interest on the first $1000. Looks like the referral program is still running if someone needs one to qualify for the $100 bonus.
What direct deposits qualify? Can I transfer from another bank account of mine?
Looks like only REAL DD from an employer work to qualify. But pretty easy as you only need one over $200.
