Gemini is a cryptocurrency exchange and custodian that allows customers to buy, sell, and store digital assets.
It’s a New York trust company that’s regulated by the New York State Department of Financial Services (NYDFS) and was founded in 2014 by the Winklevoss twins.
The company launched one of the first 1:1 USD-backed stablecoins, called the Gemini dollar (ticker: GUSD). I previously talked about how I invested $50,000 of my savings into GUSD to earn an incredible 8.60% APY.
There are currently multiple Gemini sign-up promotions.
Each promotion has a different bonus offer and qualification requirements, so read all of them carefully.
Generally, the higher the sign-up bonus, the more you have to deposit and trade. The easiest deal right now is the $10 bonus, but the $50 is the best offer if you can deposit at least $500.
Offer #1) Gemini $10 Sign-Up Bonus

Offer #2) Gemini $50 Sign-Up Bonus
Gemini is offering a $50 bitcoin bonus when you trade $500 within three days of signing up.
This is a better deal if you have $500 available. Some may find the $10 bonus more attractive with its lower $100 trade requirement.
How To Get $50 Bitcoin Bonus:
- Open a free Gemini account using this link for the $50 bonus version
- Link a payment method (bank account or debit card)
- Invest at least $500 in crypto within three days of account sign-up
- Receive a $50 bitcoin bonus deposited within 24 hours
Again, you can buy or sell any crypto for this bonus to trigger.
Offer #3) Gemini Referral Bonus
Refer a friend to Gemini and earn a $10 bitcoin bonus.
Gemini has a referral program where you can earn a $10 bitcoin bonus for every friend that you refer. Your friend will also get $10 worth of bitcoin.
Each referred friend must be new to Gemini and successfully complete account sign-up using the referral link.
After the new user trades $100 or more (or 100 USD equivalent of their domestic currency) within 30 days of account sign-up, both accounts will be credited within two business days.
The Bottom Line
If you’re taking advantage of these promo code bonuses and just want to earn interest on your crypto without the price volatility, I would only use stablecoins.
Stablecoins are a specific type of cryptocurrency where the value is pegged to an outside asset, like the U.S. dollar.
I mentioned earlier that Gemini Dollar (GUSD) is an example of a stablecoin pegged to the U.S. dollar at a ratio of 1:1. That means one GUSD is worth $1. Plus, Gemini is offering an attractive 7.40% APY on your GUSD holdings.
With that said, there are more inherent risks earning interest with crypto compared to putting money in a savings account at a traditional bank. This post shouldn’t be considered advice – please do your own due diligence.
