The Bottom Line
If you’re taking advantage of these promo code bonuses and just want to earn the rewards without the price volatility, I would buy stablecoins. Stablecoins are a specific type of cryptocurrency where the value is pegged to an outside asset, like the U.S. dollar.
I mentioned earlier that Gemini Dollar (GUSD) is an example of a stablecoin pegged to the U.S. dollar at a ratio of 1:1. That means one GUSD is worth $1.
Gemini is my preferred crypto exchange and I consider it one of the safer platforms to trade cryptocurrency.
While almost all exchanges have removed free withdrawals during the current “crypto winter”, Gemini withdrawal fees are very reasonable and trading fees are extremely competitive when you use their Gemini ActiveTrader platform.

No, your account can only use one sign-up promotion. If you have at least $500 to trade crypto, I would take the $50 bonus. You can also opt for the lower $10 bonus for trading $100 if that’s more appropriate for your situation.

From what I understand, Gemini is working with the firm they lend assets to (Genesis) to resolve liquidity issues. Any assets in Earn can’t be withdrawn at this time. There’s no impact to Gemini Exchange or Gemini Staking.

There’s no minimum holding time. You can sell it immediately, but you need to wait until the funds settle before withdrawing – that takes about 3-4 business days once you sell it.

There’s no promo code needed for the $50 bonus as long as you use the link I provided. It ties directly with that promotion. Personally, I transferred $500 via a bank ACH deposit and bought the GUSD stablecoin to get the $500 bonus.
