One important item I want to note is that you must enter a referral code in all capital letters. Users will get an error code if they enter it in any other variations. I reached out to Ibotta’s marketing team about this and they’re aware of this “issue”, but no timeline on when it will be fixed.
Based on my own data collected on similar programs, the use of non-capital variations range between 3% to 5%, so it’s not a significant problem, but a problem nonetheless.
