What is Pogo?

Pogo is a mobile rewards app that lets you earn points for scanning receipts, answering surveys, and shopping online.

There are many opportunities to accumulate a lot of points fast by taking part in special offers. For instance, you can earn 1,000 points each month just for sharing your location.

Challenges are another way to collect points quickly, like receipt challenges. My current receipt challenge is to scan seven receipts this week. If I can complete this, I’ll earn an extra 50 points.

You can redeem points for cash instantly via PayPal or a Visa Prepaid card. You can also cash out points for gift cards at popular brands like Amazon.

1,000 Pogo points are equivalent to $1 across all redemption options, so each Pogo point is worth $0.001. You need a minimum of 3,000 points ($3) to redeem your points.

Pogo Sign-up Bonus = 250 Points

New Pogo app users can receive a 250-point bonus when they enter a referral code during account registration. This is currently the biggest welcome bonus available for Pogo.

Pogo FAQs

Are the Reddit sign-up bonuses of 1,000 and 2,000 points legit?

No, they are not legit. Previously, Pogo did offer higher bonuses to new users, but those offers have since expired.

How do I enter a code if I already opened an account?

Unfortunately, you’re not able to add a code if you’ve already opened an account. While some apps allow you to enter a code after sign-up, Pogo does not.

How do I earn points on Pogo?

You can earn points from many activities on the Pogo app, including scanning receipts, shopping online, taking surveys, linking your credit/debit cards, sharing your location, and tracking your FICO score.

What is the minimum amount of points needed to cash out?

The minimum points needed to redeem for rewards is 3,000 points, which is equivalent to $3 worth of rewards.

Are there other rewards apps like Pogo?

Yes, there are many similar apps like Pogo. Here’s a list of the best rewards apps.

The Bottom Line

Pogo referral bonuses were easier to earn and provided bigger rewards. For example, here are a few sign-up offers they previously had:

  • 2021: Earn 1,000 points when you sign up for Pogo using a referral link (no further action needed to receive the bonus).
  • 2022: Receive 2,000 points when you join Pogo with a promo code and link a credit or debit card.

This isn’t unique to Pogo. Many of the best receipt rewards apps have lowered their sign-up bonuses because of the economic uncertainty, but I still think scanning receipts is worth doing.

While you’re not going to get rich from this, you can scan a single receipt using multiple apps to maximize your rewards. Personally, I earn at least $1.00 per receipt stacking Pogo with the following mobile apps (welcome bonuses in parenthesis):

It’s important to note that $1 is the floor. My actual rewards are much more than that. In my Fetch vs Ibotta comparison, I detailed how I expect to make $741 with Fetch and $563 with Ibotta this year.

Overall, the Pogo app is one of the least rewarding of the apps mentioned if you’re just scanning receipts.

It may be worth it on its own if you’re planning to earn points by completing other activities on the app. It’s definitely something to consider if you’re using Pogo in addition to the other receipt rewards app to get that extra boost in total rewards.
