Great news on one of my favorite apps – Seated is now offering rewards on pickup and delivery orders!
What Is The Seated App?
Seated is a restaurant reservation app that gives you up to 40% back in rewards on your dining out expenses. It’s my favorite reservation app by a long mile with its incredible rewards system.
Basically, you’ll earn “Seated dollars” based on a percentage of your total meal costs and can redeem them on a 1 to 1 basis for gift cards at many popular retailers like Amazon, Target, and Starbucks. For example, if you go out with your significant other and spend $100 at a restaurant, you can earn up to $40 (40%) in Amazon gift cards.
I reviewed the app last year where I gave it 9.3 out of 10 stars. It’s that great!

New Seated Pickup & Delivery Options
It’s obvious that the restaurant industry has taken a huge hit because of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Most establishments are still closed for dine-in options, but a lot are taking orders for pickup and delivery.
Seated recognizes this and wants to encourage others to not only support the restaurants, but to use their app to do so. The Seated app normally is only for dine-in reservations, but due to the crisis, they now have added rewards for takeout and delivery.
You’ll get up to 15% back on takeout and delivery orders (dining in rewards are usually between 20% to 40%).
In order to see the new options, download or update your Seated app to the latest version and follow the directions below:
- Find a restaurant on the Seated app and click “Start an order”
- Use the restaurant’s preferred online ordering portal to place your order
- Go back to the Seated app and upload your receipt on the “Orders” tab
- Get your rewards within 72 hours and redeem them how you please
An advantage that Seated has compared to Uber Eats, Grubhub or DoorDash is that since you’re not ordering through a third-party service (you’re ordering from the restaurant directly), you’re avoiding the additional surcharges that typically gets added. Not only that, but I find most menu prices on the third-party service apps are inflated to what the restaurants are actually charging too.
Booking at Seated therefore not only earns you rewards, but saves you money!

The Bottom Line
This is awesome news. I haven’t used the Seated app in a while with what’s going on in the world and now I can again with the two new options.
It’s hard to overstate how much I love Seated. I’ve earned thousands of dollars in the past 3 years that I’ve been using it. The only negative at this time is the limited amount of cities that they operate in (Boston, New York City, Philadelphia, Atlanta, and Chicago), but they are planning to expand to other cities soon.
