These are tastytrade promotions that were previously available to new users or existing users and have since expired.

#1: tastytrade $200 Stock Bonus (2022)

New users who open and fund a new account with $2,000 will get $200 in stock. This offer is also available for existing users who have never made a deposit into their account.

For each stock bonus, five shares of a single stock will be randomly selected by tastytrade from a list of stocks priced between $40 and $50 USD. The value of the stock bonus received will range between $200 to $250 USD based on the price of the shares at which the stock is purchased by tastytrade.

This offer expired on 8/31/22 – you must open your account and make your initial deposit by this date.

#2: tastyworks $200-$500 Welcome Bonus (2021-2022)

In early 2022, tastyworks launched a promo for new users offering bonuses to those who open and fund a new account up to a $500 bonus.

  • Receive a $200 cash deposit when you fund your tastyworks account with $2,000
  • Receive a $500 cash deposit when you fund your tastyworks account with $5,000

This offer expired on February 28, 2022.

#3: tastyworks 100 Free Shares of Stock (2020-2021)

From May 2020 to December 2021, tastyworks offered 100 free stocks to new users when they signed up for an account and deposited at least $2,000.

Each free stock was drawn from a random lottery that gave you a share of stock valued between $1 and $6:

  • 70% chance of a share of stock worth up to $2
  • 30% chance of a share of stock worth over $2

The total bonus was worth up to $600, with the average being between $200 and $220. I signed up for tastyworks under this promo and I got around ~$200.

#4: $200 Free Crypto Promo (2020-2021)

tastyworks offered new and existing users interested in cryptocurrencies a bonus of up to $200 worth of crypto.

  • Get $50 worth of cryptocurrency when you fund a new account with $200
  • Get $200 worth of cryptocurrency when you fund a new account with $2,000

You had the option to receive the free crypto in Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, or Litecoin.

The Bottom Line

Nice promos and offers from tastytrade.

I confirmed with the tastytrade team that you can combine a referral code with a new user sign-up bonus. If you’d like to support me at no cost to you, my code is “YYEHSANKGQ” (without the parenthesis).

You can apply either the referral code or new user promo code first when opening an account, and then send an email to support@tastytrade.com or call tastytrade directly at 1-888-247-1963 to add the second code.

Unfortunately their website only has one field to enter a single code, but I found calling them to be quick and painless.

I’ll add these offers to the list of the best stock promotions and best bank promotions.
