Walmart+ Free Trial Offers

Walmart+ (also known as Walmart Plus) is a subscription service that offers benefits that save you time and money, including:

  • Free delivery of groceries and other products from your Walmart store ($35 order minimum)
  • Free shipping with no order minimum

  • Claim special offers on everyday items via Walmart Rewards
  • Free returns from home (no printing or repackaging needed)
  • Enjoy early access to special prices, product releases, and online Black Friday deals

Think of it as basically Amazon Prime for Walmart. A Walmart+ membership normally costs $12.95 a month or $98 a year, but here’s how to try a free trial or receive a big discount on a subscription.

Offer #1) 50% off Walmart+ Annual Membership [Expired]

Get 50% off an annual Walmart+ membership and pay just $49 for the first year! This is a limited time offer that expires on July 13, 2023.

It’s not available to InHome members or current, paid annual members, or members with a current plan through a third party offer other than those offers through YouTube, GamePass, and Panera.

Offer #2) Walmart+ 1-Month Free Trial Membership

For a limited time, new members can start a free 30-day trial. This is a savings of $12.95 and, best of all, no credit card is required to begin the free trial!

Offer #3) Free Walmart+ Membership

Enjoy a free Walmart+ membership if you hold an American Express Platinum card. This is one of the latest perks of the Amex Platinum card that makes it truly one of the best premium credit cards available.

Activating your complimentary Walmart+ membership as an Amex Platinum cardholder is super easy:

How To Activate Walmart+ Membership with Amex Platinum:

  1. Simply click the “Enroll Now” button above to get started or click this link.
  2. Tap on the “Get Started” on the following screen.
  3. Sign in or register for a free Walmart account.
  4. Enter the payment details of your Amex Platinum card.
  5. Click on “Join Walmart+ with Platinum Card“.

And that’s it! You’ll get up to $155 per year in statement credits toward Walmart+ membership fees. That’s enough to cover the entire costs of the $98 annual Walmart+ membership fee or the $12.95 Walmart+ monthly subscription fee.

Offer #4) Walmart+ 90-Day Free Trial Membership

The 3-month free trial has ended. From time to time, Walmart partners with other brands to promote this 3-month trial membership.

For example, T-Mobile offered this to customers as part of their T-Mobile Tuesdays campaign. I’ll post a link to any new 90-day offer that becomes available to to public. Stay tuned!

Walmart Disclosure: By signing up, you agree that after the 90-day term, your membership will be canceled, unless you add a payment card. If we have a payment card on file for you, we will charge the monthly membership fee of $12.95/month to that card, and thereafter on a recurring basis each month.

The Bottom Line

While I typically buy everything under the sun on Amazon since (I’ve earned so many free gift cards and I can usually get a free Amazon Prime membership), but I do find value at Walmart, especially with a Walmart+ subscription.

Walmart+ is worth it for me because it provides another option for delivered groceries. I used to love Amazon Fresh and still do to a degree, but Amazon raised the minimum order amount to $150 to get free delivery.

It used to be just $35. Now we’re “forced” to add more grocery items to maximize its value. Walmart+ has maintained the $35 order minimum, so it’s perfect for smaller orders.

My second favorite benefit is getting Paramount+ for free. It makes it convenient to catch up on popular shows when I’m traveling.
