4. TD Convenience CheckingSM – $200 Bonus
TD Bank is offering a $200 bonus when you open a TD Convenience Checking account and make $500 in direct deposits.
While the bonus is $100 less than the $300 TD Beyond Checking offer (Offer #1), it’s easier to waive the monthly maintenance fee with this account. You only need to maintain a minimum daily balance of $100 to avoid the service fee. The direct deposit requirement is also less ($500 vs $2,500).
Bonus Amount: $200
Account Type: Personal Checking
Availability: CT, DC, DE, FL, MD, ME, MA, NC, NH, NJ, NY, PA, RI, SC, VT, VA
Expiration: July 31, 2023
Bonus Requirements:
- Open a new TD Bank Beyond Checking account using this link.
- Complete direct deposits totaling $500 or more within 60 days of account opening.
- Receive a $200 bonus deposited into your Beyond Checking account no later than 140 days of account opening.
5. TD Simple Savings – $200 Bonus
Open a TD Simple Savings account and earn $200 when you deposit $10,000 or more and maintain the balance for at least 90 days.
This bonus is the same as the TD Signature Savings offer (Offer #2), but I would recommend Signature Savings over Simple Savings because the monthly service fee is waived when it’s linked to a TD Beyond Checking account (Offer #1).
Bonus Amount: $200
Account Type: Personal Savings
Availability: CT, DC, DE, FL, MD, ME, MA, NC, NH, NJ, NY, PA, RI, SC, VT, VA
Expiration: October 31, 2023
Bonus Requirements:
- Open a new TD Simple Savings account with this link.
- Deposit $10,000 or more in new money within 20 days of account opening.
- Maintain a balance of at least $10,000 for 90 days after meeting deposit requirement.
- Get a $200 bonus deposited into your Simple Savings account within 140 days of account opening.
6. TD First ClassSM Visa Signature® Credit Card – 25,000 Bonus Miles
Apply for the TD First Class Visa Signature credit card and earn 25,000 bonus miles when you spend at least $3,000 in your first 6 billing cycles.
With this credit card, you’ll earn 3x First Class miles on travel and dining purchases (e.g. flights, hotels, car rentals, cruises, and restaurant dining) and 1x First Class miles on all other purchases. Miles never expire as long as you have this credit card open and in good standing.
The best value to redeem miles in my opinion is by using the Expedia for TD portal or ‘Book Any Way’.
Expedia for TD: Miles are worth $0.05 (200 miles = $1) when you use them to book travel on Expedia for TD. This portal is specifically for TD customers, but it basically mirrors what’s available on the main Expedia site.
‘Book Any Way’: Miles are worth between $0.04 to $0.05 when you use them to cover travel-related purchases. How it works is you use your card to make a purchase, wait until the purchase posts to your account, and then use your miles to cover all or a portion of the charges.
Miles are valued at $0.04 on the first $1,200 and increases to $0.05 for amounts over $1,200 on the same purchase.
Travel provides the best rate of return, but you can use miles for cash (at an average of $0.025 per point), merchandise ($0.023 per point), and gift cards ($0.025 per point) too. I wouldn’t redeem it for these options because the value is lower.
Bonus Amount: 25,000 Bonus Miles
Account Type: Credit Card
Availability: Nationwide
Expiration: N/A
Bonus Requirements:
- Apply and open a new TD First ClassSM Visa Signature® Credit Card using the link below.
- Spend a total of at least $3,000 in the first 6 billing cycles.
- Receive 25,000 miles within 6 to 8 weeks after meeting spend requirement.

TD Bank Promotions FAQs
TD Bank is a regional bank so bank account deals are only available to residents of the following states: CT, DC, DE, FL, MD, ME, MA, NC, NH, NJ, NY, PA, RI, SC, VT, and VA.
However, the brokerage account (TD Ameritrade) and TD Bank credit cards are available nationwide.
Bank account opening related bonuses are taxable and may be reported on IRS Form 1099-MISC. TD Bank will send you a 1099-MISC at the end of the year if you earned more than $600 in cash. Even if you don’t receive a 1099-MISC (or 1099-INT), you’re still required to self-report and pay taxes. Consult your tax advisor for further information.
Credit card bonuses, whether cash or reward points, are typically not taxed because most credit card offers require a minimum spending amount to qualify for the bonus, so the reward is considered a rebate on the purchase rather than taxable income.
You can find promo codes by using the links on this page or by searching for other TD Bank promotions on this site. Keep in mind that you don’t need to worry about entering a promo code or coupon code for the bank bonuses listed here. The links will automatically add the relevant code to your account application.
Yes, most TD Bank promotions have expiration dates unless otherwise stated. Some offers may not have one and those will be marked with an expiration date of ‘N/A’.
Fortunately, it’s quite common for TD Bank to renew or extend some offers as the old deals expire. However, the bonus amount, requirements, and/or terms and conditions may be different.
Bonuses for TD Bank checking and savings accounts generally arrive within 140 days of account opening as long as the offer requirements have been met. Credit card bonuses can take up to 6 to 8 weeks.
In my experience, TD Bank has consistently sent bank account and credit card bonuses on the earlier end of that timeframe. If you haven’t received your bonus within the stated time, contact TD Bank’s customer service at (888) 751-9000.
You’re eligible for multiple bonuses as long as each account you’re applying to is from a different product group.
For instance, you can receive a checking account bonus along with a savings account bonus as those accounts are from separate product groups, but you won’t be able to get two bonuses for two different checking accounts.
Additionally, TD Bank revised their terms and conditions for their bank offers, making certain classes of customers ineligible for current offers – like this one for the checking account bonus:
“You will not qualify for the Checking Bonus if you are an existing TD Bank checking Customer OR had a previous checking account that was closed within the preceding 12 months OR have received a prior checking account bonus at any time.”
When in doubt, read the fine print!
The Bottom Line
TD Bank offers some amazing bank account deals. For most people, opening a savings account and checking account to earn a $500 bonus is a no brainer.
I did this exact deal back in 2021 and ended up keeping both accounts because of their customer service. My experience as a TD customer has been phenomenal. On the rare occasion I had an issue with my account, it’s been resolved quickly by visiting many of the local branches or a call to their customer service center.
However, I save most of my money in high-yield savings accounts because TD Bank’s interest rates, like many other national/regional banks, can’t compete with online ones when it comes to APY.
If you’re not from the East Coast, you’ve probably never heard of TD Bank even though it’s the 11th largest bank in the US by total assets. I live in Boston and the bank is everywhere – TD Bank sponsors the stadium the Boston Celtics play in so it’s hard to miss.
While you shouldn’t choose a bank based solely on a new customer bonus, it’s a great incentive to try the many banking and credit card products available. Interested in more bank bonuses? Check out the entire list of the best bank bonuses for more options to earn free money and rewards.
